Brocade Renaissance Bodice: Black & Golden Vine Pattern-2 Sizes

$95.00

These brocade bodices are in a fancy print brocade pattern and are new and unworn. The print is a pretty Black with a Golden Vine pattern. I've been carrying these bodices to sell at Renaissance Fairs where they have been displayed on a clothing rack. The encased boning is next to the grommets and gives plenty of support and lift even for women who are gifted. The adjustable shoulder strap allows for adjustments for different body lengths and features a privacy flap to prevent any gaping of material. (Example of how it is worn in last picture) These are great for ladies like me who have a short waist as well as taller ladies who need more length in the torso area. The second picture is of the back of each bodice so you can see how it adjusts and the print on the back.

This listing is for a size 30/33 inch waist and a 42-45 inch waist. Please measure your waist at your natural waist above your belly button not the more modern lower waist. The first number is with the bodice closed completely and the second is when you let it gap which is an authentic way to wear a bodice. I know the picture on the 30/33 shows 32/34 was written on the inside but when I measured it the more accurate measurement is 30-33. I do recommend that those ladies whose chest measurement is a lot larger than the waist that you choose a size up from your waist measurement for a more comfortable fit.

Machine wash cool, tumble dry on delicate or hang to dry. Can be worn with a chemise or a shirt underneath and works well with the Renaissance petticoat skirt or pants all of which are listed in my store.

Are you the Lady who made the snoods seen on the TV show Charmed?

Yes, I made the snoods worn by Alyssa Milano on Charmed. The listing in my shop for a Net Beaded Snood Standard length is the same style that I made for the show. A replica of the Burgundy Snood she wore is the first one you'll see on that listing.

Did you make the snoods I saw at the Disney Theme Park in Florida?

Yes, I have made several different snoods over the years for DMGM Creative Costuming with Disney, Florida. They are worn by Cinderella's dancers in the daily parade as well as several others have appeared in different productions for Disney.

How do I determine what size of snood will work best for me?

The length of a snood depends on the thickness and length of ones own hair. If you have fine or average thickness of hair the standard length will work fine. My hair is average and just past the middle of my back and I wear the 8" length. I like having it up off of my back and level with my shoulders. If you'd like it to hang longer or you have longer and/or thicker hair you should go with a longer snood. I would also caution on the Net pattern that if one has very fine or layered hair you might want to choose another pattern. Since the openings are larger on this snood that type of hair may poke through the openings and look messy. A snood with smaller openings works better for ladies with fine hair.
