This snood is my Net pattern and is in my standard length. This is a beautiful hair snood hand made in your choice of color for beads and thread with beads on every row. The first one shown in Burgundy cotton thread with 4mm Pearl beads on every row is a copy of one of the snoods I made for the television show Charmed which were worn by Alyssa Milano. There were two other colors she wore on the show (Sage Green-2nd Picture and Ecru) and I can make duplicates of those for you as well. Yes, I am the original maker of those snoods so you are getting something from the actual person who made them for the show. The burgundy one is already made and can be shipped right away. If you want a different color I can make it to order for you in several colors of both thread and beads. My orders take 2-4 weeks to get made and sent to you depending on how many I have in my "to be made" queue at the time of your order. I make these using cotton crochet thread which is sturdy enough for everyday wear but also looks more delicate than heavy yarns. I do not use nylon since it does not keep it's shape well and I don't like the quality of the finished item. I have been making snoods since 1996 and my original creations are still being worn by me today so they are made to last. Don't know how long yet since I haven't had one wear out on me but ask me again in another 15 years. :-)
It does come complete with instructions on how to put it on and take care of your snood which is hand wash and hang to dry. My snoods are finished with an adjustable elastic cord which allows the snood to be tied to fit each individual person. Once tied I simply leave it tied when I take it off and it is a simple matter of stretching it back into place when I want to wear it again. The elastic cord is woven into the last row so that it is barely visible while wearing.
This is a great addition to your Civil War, Medieval, Renaissance or SCA garb but can also be worn just cause it looks good. I've also made several snoods for weddings and have all kinds of colors and thread available to customize it just for you. Snoods are making a come back and are wonderful for bad hair days. You just put your hair in the snood and go. No muss, no fuss.

Yes, I made the snoods worn by Alyssa Milano on Charmed. The listing in my shop for a Net Beaded Snood Standard length is the same style that I made for the show. A replica of the Burgundy Snood she wore is the first one you'll see on that listing.
Did you make the snoods I saw at the Disney Theme Park in Florida?
Yes, I have made several different snoods over the years for DMGM Creative Costuming with Disney, Florida. They are worn by Cinderella's dancers in the daily parade as well as several others have appeared in different productions for Disney as well as for shows on the Disney cruise ships.
How do I determine what size of snood will work best for me?
The length of a snood depends on the thickness and length of ones own hair. If you have fine or average thickness of hair the standard length will work fine. My hair is average and just past the middle of my back and I wear the 8" length. I like having it up off of my back and level with my shoulders. If you'd like it to hang longer or you have longer and/or thicker hair you should go with a longer snood. I would also caution on the Net pattern that if one has very fine or layered hair you might want to choose another pattern. Since the openings are larger on this snood that type of hair may poke through the openings and look messy. A snood with smaller openings works better for ladies with fine hair.
How long does it take to receive my item?
All snoods and bun covers are made to order so please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of those items. Hats and Renaissance Garb that I sell are in stock and ship out as soon as order is received and processed, taking no more than 2 business days.
